Arrival at Dubrovnik airport and transfer to the hotel. Free day to discover the beauty of Dubrovnik, cultural metropolis and the most remarkable medieval walled city in Croatia, an UNESCO World Heritage Site. Walk through Stradun – once a sea channel, which separated the city in two parts, today the town’s main street, paved with smooth stone blocks. Visit Church of St. Blaise – Dubrovnik’s most beautiful temple whose golden statue with a scale model in his hand from the 15th century is now kept in the church. Explore the city walls that run almost 2 kilometers around the city – filming location for the television series, Game of Thrones. Overnight at the hotel.
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure towards Korcula island. Free time to explore Korcula old town. Surrounded by walls and towers, Korcula hides the magical Renaissance-Gothic core that is perched on paved streets, historic houses, numerous churches and the architectural wonder, the Cathedral of St Mark. Continue towards Peljesac peninsula. Wine tasting. Learning about wines and local varietals with wine makers is something special. In many places, the tradition of wine making is one that’s passed down through generations, and young wine makers are products of family heritage mixed with new technologies and innovative techniques. Continue towards Dubrovnik city. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast continue towards Mostar city. You will enjoy in the sightseeing of the most notable landmark of Mostar and first monument in Bosnia and Herzegovina listed on UNESCO’s World heritage list – Old Bridge. Your guide will bring you an interesting historical story through the most important sights of the city. After two hours walking tour, you will have free time on your own. In late afternoon hours journey continues towards Sarajevo. Overnight at hotel.
After breakfast, walking tour with local tour guide – explore Sarajevo. Due to its long and rich history of religious and cultural diversity, Sarajevo is sometimes called the “Jerusalem of Europe” or “Jerusalem of the Balkans”. It is one of only a few major European cities which have a mosque, Catholic church, Orthodox church and synagogue in the same neighborhood. You will visit the Latin Bridge – the site of the assassination of Archduke Franz Ferdinand of Austria by Gavrilo Princip in 1914, which became casus belli of World War I. The Eternal Flame which commemorates the sacrifices made and lives lost is also very important sight of the city. Free afternoon. Overnight at the hotel.
After breakfast, departure towards Split. Arrival in Split and city tour with a local guide. You will admire the Diocletian Palace, the Split Cathedral and the Jupiter Temple. Old town of Split with Diocletian’s Palace built in 4th century AD, has been inscribed as protected UNESCO World Heritage Site. Local people still live inside the palace walls which makes this town a unique open-air living museum. Free afternoon to enjoy in Split. Overnight at the hotel.
